Learning Teams/Sub Schools

At Lilydale Heights College, student learning and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do. To support this, the College is structured into Year Level Learning Teams. Each team is led by a Learning Leader, who is responsible for overseeing the learning progress, wellbeing, behaviour and future pathways of students in their year level.

Learning Leaders provide strategic direction for their cohort and are part of the College’s broader Leadership Team. They work in close partnership with staff, students and families to ensure every student is supported to thrive.

Supporting the Learning Leaders are our Student Liaisons, who play a key role in managing student wellbeing and behaviour and in developing strategies to support students in their learning. Student Liaisons are often the first point of contact for students and families and they are there to provide practical support and guidance as needed.

If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s learning, wellbeing, uniform, classes, etc., we encourage you to get in touch with your child’s Year Level Team via Compass or the Front Office.

Communication Platform/Compass

Lilydale Heights College uses Compass as our Learning Management System. Compass is our main form of communication with our College Community. Through Compass you can access our Newsfeed, Excursions, Camps, Payments, Attendance, Lesson Plans, Learning Tasks, Reports, Bookings for Learning Conferences, School Calendar, etc. We recommend that families check Compass regularly. Compass can be accessed from any modern web browser or via the Compass Application available from Google Play or the Apple App Store. We would encourage all families to download the Compass Application to your device. For more information on Compass, please visit www.compass.education/guide

Library

Our College Library is a hub of resources available to teachers and students each day of the school year. The Library is a space available for private study, a place to access reading materials and a variety of printed and digital resources for learning. Our librarians support students in their digital learning through the provision of daily and term loan devices and charging support during break times.
