Peer Support Program

Peer Support is a Year 10 elective subject that runs during first semester as our year 7s transition to the college. Designed to develop the students’ leadership capabilities, the program fosters positive relationships and nurtures the needs of the incoming Year 7 students.

Each Peer Support Leader is assigned a group of Year 7 students to mentor and they are responsible for the planning and execution of a 50 min session with the group every week.

Year 10 students reflect on their individual strengths and areas of improvement, and develop their ability to plan activities, reflect on their performance, speak to audiences, engage others, show empathy and be an effective role model to other students in the school community.

Students in this class are considered leaders in the school and are encouraged to apply for leadership positions in their future years at the College.
