Term 3 concludes the majority of our interschool sports with Basketball and Table Tennis being played for the Year 7-10’s, and Year 7 Hockey.
Congratulations to the following teams who won their interschool sport events and are now, or have already represented the Yarra Group region in the Eastern Metropolitan Region sports.
- Year 7 Baseball and Softball
- Intermediate Girls Hockey
- Senior Girls Tennis and Badminton
A special mention to the Year 8 Boys “A” Basketball team, who won all their games and were playing in the Grand Final. They were 3 points down when Jordy Thomas was fouled whilst going for a 3 point shot. He hit the first two foul shots but was not given the opportunity for the third shot, leaving the Heights runners-up.
There will be a Student versus Teacher Basketball competition at lunchtime on Thursday August 17 and there are plans for a Dodgeball competition by the end of the term as well.
Sports Captains and Vice Captains will also be running some activities at lunchtime on Footy Colours Day later in the Term.
