Throughout 2022 Lilydale Heights Interschool Sports teams competed in numerous sports events and went on to win 20 Yarra Group competitions including Softball, Baseball, Tennis, Soccer, Cricket, Basketball and Table Tennis at all year levels.

However, it was our Badminton teams that shone out this year, winning the Year 7 and 8 Girls and Boys competitions, the Intermediate Boys comp and the Senior Girls comp.

A special mention to our Intermediate Boys racket team – Tennis, Badminton and Table Tennis – who won each of those events in the Yarra Group competition and then went on to compete in the Eastern Metropolitan Region competitions. Great effort Jolyon Scobie, Remey Boatwood, Oliver Rose, Monte Darlison and James Ackroyd.

A student’s write up – Table Tennis: On Wednesday the 26th of October, the Middle School Boys Table Tennis team went out to participate in the Eastern Metropolitan Region round of competition. Unfortunately, it didn't go too well and our school was placed in a very difficult pool and struggled, not managing to win a match. Despite this, we had an awesome time being able to go and participate in the day and bring home an amazing experience. Jolyon Scobie 10B

After winning their events during the College Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country Carnivals, there were also a number of students who then went on to compete in these events in the Yarra Districts and Eastern Metropolitan Region competitions.
